On November 1, Travis started having some strange headaches and other symptoms (Tingly hands, tunnel vision, confusion) while he was at work, but then they would go away. Then the same thing the next day.  He went to urgent care that night and they did a CT scan. They saw a dark spot that looked like a stroke. So they sent us to the ER.
We spent the night and they did an MRI Saturday morning.  We got the results from the MRI and the spot they thought was a stroke is actually a brain tumor. He continued to have the episodes of dizziness/hand tingling/tunnel vision, and the doctor thought they may be seizures. He has been anti seizure medication and they have stopped happening since then.
Travis had surgery to remove the tumor on November 15. He is starting chemo and radiation now.

A post from Travis: "I have fought social media as hard as I can over the last few weeks, but I’ve come to understand that there’s just not a normal way to go about this. This is my first and will likely be my last post about what’s been going on but I’ve given up on being able to individually update all who need to know. Long story short: I was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the beginning of this month. While we aren’t 100% sure of all of the long term affects or details... Doctors believe it’s a low grade glioma. We’re unsure if it’s “actively cancerous” or not. This will be determined after they remove it and biopsy it. The tumor is too deep to do a biopsy first, so the game plan is to go get the thing, and then start treatments of chemotherapy and radiation. Which brings me to this update. After consulting many doctors, I am having the tumor removed tomorrow. We didn’t think it would happen so quick, hence the FB post, but if you’re a praying person, I and my family could certainly use some. It feels wrong to say I’m scared, but I am. I’m constantly praying against that fear and I’d ask you to join me. I don’t post this for sympathy or handouts, but because updating everyone has become just as stressful as anything else. During this time we have felt incredibly supported and loved by everyone who knows, and I literally cannot thank you all enough. I’ve asked for your prayers, but in addition we ask for your discretion. Like I said, we’ve had incredible amounts of support from family and friends. I apologize to those of you I haven’t been able to respond to, and if you reach out I apologize in advance. Just know, I love y’all so much and i’m thankful for every one of you. God is good."
