MedLife Volunteer Trip

Dear Family and Friends:

My name is Chastity Boyance and I am currently a Junior studying Biology with a Pre-Med concentration at McNeese State University. I am actively involved on campus with goals of becoming a medical doctor. Throughout my life, I have been a person who enjoys giving back to others who are less fortunate. I have always dreamt of going on an international medical mission to help provide a better life for those less fortunate. With MedLife, I have that opportunity.

 MedLife was founded in 2005 and continues to build a worldwide movement by providing access to healthcare, education, and safety to the poor. MedLife operates in many different countries such as Ecuador and Peru. This winter, I have the chance to work with this organization and have the experience of a lifetime.

 While working with MedLife, I have that opportunity to help others and get hands on experience. I will work with experienced local doctors, pharmacists, dentists, and gynecologists. As an Undergraduate student, I will be assisting the doctors and other volunteers with patient intake, triage, consultations, and distributing medication.

 With your help, you can help me turn a dream of mine into a reality. The total cost of this trip will be around $2,600.
