To all members of our great community, baseball fans, players and children at heart...
The children of Fort Davis need your help. The baseball fields at our county park are in deplorable conditions and present a serious safety concern to our children. In the pictures below you'll see some of the many concerns the little league volunteers, coaches, parents and players have with our county park. Youth Baseball is truly a beautiful organization comprised of wide-eyed children, committed coaches and excited parents. To play baseball is magical. To coach baseball is an honor. As coaches we volunteer much of our personal time to teach not only the fundamentals of the game, but also the fundamentals of life. Leadership, teamwork, self confidence, good sportsmanship, positive/critical thinking, trustworthiness, achievement of ones' personal goals...these qualities are as inherent and enduring in life as they are on the field. Your coaches are an amazing group of moms and dads who dedicate themselves whole heartedly to providing a safe and positive environment for these kids to have fun, learn and build life long memories and skills to make them better human beings. Our coaching core is comprised of law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, local church officials and members, highway department people and many others who are all dedicated to our community professionally and personally through teaching our kiddos. We have an amazing community that I've come to love as I'm sure we all have. Sadly however, what we have out there at the county park does not reflect the greatness of this community. It does not reflect the amazing kids, parents, grandparents, professionals and wonderful community members of Fort Davis. The conditions are shameful and dangerous.
But, with your help...we can fix our little league fields. I coach twelve of the most amazing 4/5 year old kids in the world and the look in their eyes when we play ball solidifies to me that they are worth it. I know the other coaches and parents feel the same way. I know that as you read this, you must surely feel the same way. Please help the kids of Fort Davis by making a donation for improvement of our fields. Please help. Let's give our children the gift that they deserve...a safe, well kept environment to learn, grow and play within, because we are their heroes and they deserve that and so very much more.

ALL donations will go directly to field renovations, equipment and upkeep of the fields.
Examples of Items and Equipment Needed: New bases, infield dirt, fence repairs, paint, scoreboard repairs, grass seed, field maintenance tools, etc.
