We recently discovered that our beloved Rachel Dovey, wife to Michael and Mom to 3yo Edie, has a potentially malignant mass on her heart while carrying their second child. She has been unable to work for over a month. Michael is trying to keep working as much as he can as a carpenter, but caring for Edie and their home which is well over an hour away from UCSF where she is hospitalized, has meant much less income for several weeks now. We expect they will have months of treatment and recovery time ahead.

As we learn more about Rachel's condition and prognosis, we may adjust our goal. For now, besides your prayers at this heart-wrenching time, anything you wish to donate will go to helping support them, minus 8% which the site takes.This amount will cover their expenses for 3 months and help defray healthcare deductibles.
