29 year old needs life saving care

I tried so hard to help my brother fight his fight with cancer and had made a gofundme to help get him a second opinion, but sadly there was nothing anyone could do and last night December 4th he gained his angel wings and joined our dad, grandma and my first daughter in heaven He had a hard last few years and this picture is how I choose to remember him, before he got sick.  With all the bills that accumulated during my brothers 3 years being bedbound and our mom, his caretaker being retired we could really use help giving him the memorial service he deserves. He’s being cremated but the memorial service is $3000. Could you please help our family. 





My Brother, Bill was diagnosed with astrocytoma stage 2  Brain Cancer last year at the age of 29. He then suffered from a brain bleed.  In 6 months he went from a healthy young man enjoying life to a now mostly bed ridden depressed young man in a care facility in Ohio. His treatment in that time has been getting radiation in the beginning and he now gets chemo for a week every month and gets large amounts of steroids. He has also been getting pt at the facility he is at. He has been going downhill with a leg so badly swollen he can’t stand, and he also suffers from weakness in his legs and arms.  He has now been given 2 options, go to the long care part of the rehabilitation facility which is like a nursing home, where he won’t get pt anymore or go home on hospice. He’s been told he can’t get surgery because with the tumor he has, he would more than likely never be able to walk talk or do anything for himself afterwards. Would be in a vegetative state. 
     

Well I refuse to believe that at 29 years old those are his only options! Which is why getting him an online second opinion at the Dana Farber institute in Boston which is one of the top cancer hospitals is what I believe could be life saving! They have some of the greatest doctors around and they also have experimental trials he might be able to do. We are from Ohio but both lived in NH from a young age up until he moved back to Ohio 6 years ago. My husband and I now live in Massachusetts only 40 min from Boston and are trying to help him anyway we can along with our mom who is in Ohio with him. The cost of the second opinion is $2000 and because of gofundme fees our goal is to raise $2100. If he receives anything else it will help with his mounting hospital bills.  Because he used to be healthy, he bought the cheapest insurance he could from care source. Because of that he has a tremendous amount of bills. 
   

My brother bill almost died once when he was around 9 years old, from pneumonia and had to be in an induced coma. We almost lost him but because of children’s hospital in Boston he survived. Help me see if Dana Farber can help my brother survive once again!! He still has so much life to live ❤️

Because of bill now being home and transportation to appointments not being covered by insurance and his chemo not being covered and needing a ramp so bill can get out of the house, I’m going to raise the goal to $5000 to see if we can get him some help with that and also hoping with the newspaper coverage that we can make that happen!
