See this picture, this is Nate in his protective PTSD mode.  He is all tight and not very happy.  The one thing that makes him very happy is the outdoors.  He LOVES to be outside and we are out with him as much as possible.  Nate loves wheels as well and the wind in his face.  Though 5yo, it will be years, if even at all, till he can ride a bike.  Yet we would love for him to have the opportunity of the wind in his face and just the sheer joy that comes with riding a bike.  As you can imagine, Nate needs a very special bike.  The kind he needs was $5200.  However, we found a new type of bike, new model that is doing a kickstarter campaign.  It is $700 for a new bike!  Catch is, needs to be done on May 3rd in order to get the bike for Nate.  It would be one where I would ride it and he would sit in a special seat in the front.  I truly think that tight knotted little boy in the picture would have a feeling of freedom for the first time in his life.  It would mean the world to him and our family if we can raise the $700 necessary to purchase the bike.  Nate had a very rough start in life and this is his chance to take back his childhood and enjoy it to the fullest.  Please help if you can so that Nate can get the bike he needs.  Help us 'un-knot' Nate!  Thank you very much.

A BIG THANK YOU to all who helped Nate the Great get his bike. I will be first on the computer to be sure May 3rd when the Taga Kickstarter campaign goes live. I was told this newer version will be even better for special needs kids. I am very excited for Nate and what this means. One of the tools to help him heal from a past that was not nice to him. I can not wait to show you all a happy Nate in his bike. Thank you is just not enough for what it means for him.

Taga Bike for Nate the Great has reached 70% of its goal. Thanks to all who have donated and shared! I am overwhelmed b y the generosity and kindness shown to our son. A son that has endured more than we can probably imagine. He truly deserves to be a regular kid and get the chance to ride on a bike. We have 5 days and I believe we can make the goal. Every little bit helps to be sure. Please keep spreading the word. Thanks again for care for one very special little boy who needs a whole lot of love and a little help to able him to reach his fullest potential possible.

What an awesome start for Nater Tater!! Very grateful for the generous donors. Thanks a bunch for all the shares. We have five more days to raise the remaining amount. Nate loves motion and any type of sensory experience. This bike will help to unlock it little bit more of his mind that is trapped inside him. I know it doesn't seem like a bike can make much difference in a child but truly, this could change his life around! Please continue to share. I will be happy to answer any questions regarding Nate and why he needs this bike to improve his quality of life. Nate's world can be changed by this simple gift. Thank you all for your support.

Craig, the company is called Taga. One of our therapists is the one who originally found the bike and company and said it would be just as good as the Duet bike we were trying to win for him. I really think this would be a game changer for Nate and our family. Keep you posted though!

What's the company? We'll look for the campaign on May 3, too, if we don't forget.

Craig, I don't have the link b/c the official start off date is May 3rd. I had written the company asking about the bike and they had told me about the upcoming kickstarter campaign for May 3rd. That bike will hold more weight, headrest will be higher, etc. It will be better suited to fit more special needs is what I was told.
