Holt County Sheriff's K-9 Fund

The Holt County Sheriff's Office is raising funds for our K-9 program.
Marko, our K-9, is a 6 1/2 year old Belgian Malinois and is trained for narcotics detection and tracking. Marko has been an invaluble asset and has been deployed numerous times to sniff for narcotics and has assisted in locating both user and distribution amounts of different drugs and paraphernalia.
Marko has also been deployed to track suspects on a few occasions. He is not only a vital resource for our county but we have assisted numerous surrounding counties and the Nebraska State Patrol. We also do demonstrations for schools.
Typically a police dog can work until they are about 10, so we plan to keep Marko around for a while, but we need money for operating expenses such as food, vet bills, training aides, etc.
We also want to get a head start on funds to purchase a new K-9 when the time comes.
We appreciate any help we can get!
