" Make Every Lap Count"

In conjunction with The Bórd na nOg of Mayo Gaels GAA there will be a massive fundraising event on the 12th and 13th August this year for 24 hours from 7pm to 7pm - Our aim is to lap 20K laps in 24 hours ( ie: 10,000Km) . The 2 Charities are Ronald McDonald House in Dublin in memory of Annie Lawlor who passed away in September 2010 ( Joanne and Karol's beautiful daughter and Niece of Judi and James Fallon) and The Jack and Jill Children's foundation in memory of Ella Connolly who passed away this year ( Sarah and Fearghaill Connolly's Beautiful daughter)

Why are we doing this? Childhood illnesses can come to any of our doors and Mayo Gaels Bord na nOg would like to help raise awareness for the fantastic services who support families in their time of need

We set up this fundraising page to reach out to everyone and those who cannot be in Mayo that weekend - All your support would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for taking the time to support our event

Joanne Lawlor -  Annie's mum chats about Ronald McDonald House
"Ronald McDonald House was invaluable to our family throughout Annie's sickness. We got to be together, have evening meals together after some horrendous days. We met and made friends with other families but most importantly it gave Annie space to play and be free from St John's Ward  but be right beside it when needed. Ronald McDonald House brought a smile to Annie during the worst time imaginable and we are forever grateful "

Sarah & Fearghail Connolly - Ella's Mum & Dad gave us their reasons why we should support Jack & Jill Children's Foundation & 20K In One Day....

" When Ella was diagnosed at 8 weeks old with a life limiting condition we did not know how we would manage at home until we were told we would have the help from The Jack & Jill Children's Foundation. This is the reason we could care for our Little Angel at home. Our Jack & Jill nurse became a big part of our family and with this help it made life somewhat normal, being able to leave the house for a couple of hours and knowing Ella was well cared for.
Jack & Jill is a charity run Foundation and is well deserving of all the support people can give . NO child should have to stay in hospital. So only for Johnathon Irwin, who Founded Jack & Jill through his own personal experience, we would not have had the chance to spend the 3 years we had with Ella at home.
We will be forever grateful for this extraordinary Service,

Sarah & Fearghail Connolly "
