January 10th our dad went to the ER with some pain in the chest area. They did a CT scan and found out he had 2 masses on his right lower lobe lung. One is 4cm and one is 2.5cm. We then took the steps to go see an oncologist. January 13th we saw her for the first time and she told us that it was lung cancer and it was for sure stage 3 but possibly stage 4. February 4th it was confirmed that it was stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to the brain, spine, hips and his arm. There are a couple other spots that they are not worried about. Next week they want to start radiation on his brain and spine. They will zap the spine to ease his pain as he has fractured a vertebrae that is causing a lot of pain! His bones are weakening due to the cancer so they have started him on some meds to help with the bones! His brain will need a full brain radiation since there were 9 spots found. As of now those two spots are our main concern! After 10 weeks of radiation dad will then get to continue treatment with chemotherapy and immune therapy to extend life as stage 4 is not curable. All money donated will go to our parents to help with medical costs, transportation, bills and everyday life expenses! If you can’t donate we appreciate all of the prayers you are willing to give!
