It is the year that we have been anticipating for a long time – the year when our three older kids would be in college at the same time. Megan had the money saved and everything planned. It was even going to work to have our two oldest spend semesters in Europe, with the help of scholarships and loans. But then, the day after dropping off our third at college, Megan went to Urgent Care. Four days later came the diagnosis of Stage IV gallbladder cancer.

As Megan starts her treatment, we are uncertain how the day-to-day and week-to-week expenses will unfold. We can't make plans like we did with the kids' college funds. In stepping forward on this journey, we recognize that will need help to cushion the unexpected costs, to bridge the gaps in insurance, to buy the small things that offer relief, to bring the kids home when they're needed.
