We have exciting news...dad is honored to announce that he has been accepted to the Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN that will take place on October 20-21, 2019! At this time, they would not normally be accepting Vietnam era veterans but because dad has a very serious cancer diagnosis, he has been elevated to be able to take this trip. Dad would very much like me to travel with him. Due to his illness, they would allow me to do this as his caregiver but there is a cost involved in that. Between taking dad to appointments and treatments and all the multiple hospital stays, I’ve not been able to work my full amount of hours and that makes for very tight budgeting. Without some additional support, I don’t know that I’d be able to attend with him. This is a once in a lifetime trip and it would be my very first ever plane ride! The memories it would allow dad and I to create are not even imaginable. If you could find it in your heart to help out with this, we would be eternally grateful! Any extra funds will go towards helping get dad to and from appointments and getting any supplies his insurance doesn’t cover.
