Stop Trump, Help Planned Parenthood

In the past week I’ve wrestled with what to do. How to help? Where is there a place for positive impact?

And I keep coming back to Planned Parenthood. We don’t know which Trump will take office in January - will it be the Trump who says he wants to bring the nation together or the man who just the other day appointed Steve Bannon, a champion for the white nationalist movement to one of the most important positions in any administration?

We can’t wait to find out. That’s why I wanted to start a GoFundMe campaign for Planned Parenthood. If there is one place that we cannot lose ground, cannot slide backwards is in the funding and support of an organization that’s mission is to protect the fundamental right of any person to manage their fertility, regardless of marital status, income, race, ethnicity or sexual orientation. That believes in providing comprehensive reproductive and complementary health care services and that reproductive self-determination must be voluntary and preserve the individual’s rights to privacy.

So as we search for ways to come together, I want to come together in support of Planned Parenthood and raise funds to protect these vital services - no matter which Donald Trump shows up in January.
