Jason has Motor Neurone Disease and is terminally ill. MND is a rare, rapidly progressive illness that damages the nervous system leading to weakness, muscle wasting, severe disability, paralysis and death. The victim is unable to move, speak, swallow and eventually unable to breathe. Death usually occurs within 2-5 years, but half of those affected die within 14 months of diagnosis.

Jason is now severely disabled and confined to a wheelchair. He is trying to raise enough money to buy a buy a 4x4 Terrain Hopper Wheelchair  so he can keep up with his two little girl’s, Lilly, age 4 and Poppy, age 3. The only downside is they are not available on the NHS and they cost a whopping £11,500!

On the 8th July 2016 I will be going to Zip World Velocity in Bethesda, Wales, to attempt the ‘Big Zipper’ to raise money for ‘Jason’s New Wheels’. The Big Zipper is the longest zip line in Europe and the fastest in the World. The terrifying decent starts at the top of Penrhyn Quarry and descends over the quarry lake, reaching speeds in excess of 100mph.
