Zimbabwe Blind School & Orphanage

Donation protected

Update for 18th October:

Hi everyone!

Today, joined by some very enthusiastic friends, we'll be attempting to walk from the northernmost point in Ibiza, to its southernmost. This should take in over 40km and 8-9 hours.

Why are we doing this?

To raise money for the "Tariro Orphanage" in Kadoma, Zimbabwe and the "Jaros Jiri School for the Blind" also in Kadoma, Zimbabwe. Both places have SO VERY LITTLE, that it brought tears to our eyes when we spent 2 months with the children earlier this year, so we plan to go back there in December to carry on the work that we did with them and try to give them a better life.

You can help by sponsoring us for our efforts and then following what we do on: www.ourmaninzimbabwe.wordpress.com to see where all your money has gone.

We truly hope that you can help! Even a token donation will make an amazing difference!

Thank you.

This "campaign description" has been an ever evolving thing, as we have been raising money, reflecting the different sponsored events we've been doing and also as we neared the date of arrival here.

Today is the first time I've updated it since being here and I've felt the need to alter almost everything that I think about this trip after today. We visited a heartbreaking orphanage that made us reassess who we are as much as what we can do to help on this trip. The initial trip was planned to help schools, and education and we've been and visited 3 such schools in need of our help these last few days. We will continue to support and help those schools with the money that you  have already sent of course, but after today we realise that the main focus of our efforts should be the orphanage. We couldn't believe what we saw today and it brought us both to tears. For those that haven't already read and seen the pictures,  please copy and paste the link below into a browser.

Thank you for reading, thank you for supporting and we'll be doing all we can to help.
