Ngulumburu Boonyah Dance Group

We are Ngulumburu Boonyah Dance Group.  We are a all female traditional Aborginal dance group based in Townsville.   We have performed for NAIDOC celebrations,  corporate functions, Cultural Fest, Schools, Catholic Education Sports Award, Women's group gatherings, Townsville Correctional centre and other various celebrations and festivals, locally and in surrounding areas.
We strive to keep our culture alive through dancing, passing on of knowledge and educating the wider community.
Our group has been invited to Healing Our Spirits Wordwide 7th Gathering (www.hosw.com)  in Waikato (Hamilton NZ) in November 2015.  This gathering is for indigenous cultures worldwide and will provide a forum for sharing initiatives, programmes, and solution.  An opportunity to connect and learn from each other as idigenous people.  Share strengths, hope and wsidom and celebrate and express cultural practices, meanwhile keeping alive the cultural and spiritual foundation of indigenous people.
We have registered for the gathering and are now in the process of fundraising to get our group to HOSW 7th gathering.
