Ramadan 2016, Zakat al-Fitr and Humanitarian relief
The humanitarian solidarity movement Alfityanu a.s.b.l is proud to announce the launch of our annual campaign Zakat al-Fitr. Our goal this year is to provide 40 bags of 25kg of rice, or 1 ton, to the poor and disadvantaged in Kaolack, Senegal.
In order to achieve this goal, we are starting our Ramadan campaign as early as possible to give you the maximum of time to pay your Zakat al-Fitr. We are now collecting Zakat al-Fitr at €10 per person per family until the end of this blessed month. The total amount will then be transferred to Kaolack, Senegal, to our local partners who can organise the purchase of the rice and its distribution.
Last year, our solidarity campaign Zakat al-Fitr 2015 allowed us the distribution of a 1/2 ton of rice in Kaolack, so we pray to reach 1 ton of rice this year.
The structure and system we have developed is unique because it allows the transfer of donations directly to those who need it most, without intermediaries. With Solidarity Movement Humanitarian Alfityanu a.s.b.l, you have the certainty that your Zakat go to those who really need it.
