Hip Operation for Storm

Meet Storm - my 4 year old german shepherd. She was gifted to me before my husband deployed to Afghanistan and has been my best friend ever since. She has prevented me from getting into danger a total of 3 times, by waking me up when my asthma got dangerous. Without this help, I would have woken up in trouble if at all. You see, Storm is going through some tough things at the moment, and I set up this page so people can send her moral support. Last November we nearly lost her... thanks to the Sandringham bug but she fought. With 5 star vet care she recovered very quickly. Then this summer, I took her to my vet because she was presenting with a limp and I was in no way prepared for what we discovered was going on with her. She has a very severe hip dysplasia - yes I know, she is a german shepherd and what people keep saying "it's typical for the breed" and it is - but NOT to this extent at this age. This is not what you would even want to see on an elderly german shepherd. My princess is 4!! She of course will have her operation and every inch of the care she needs. I have always had her insured  - but the insurance only covers up to £4000. This is set to be around £6000 and a large proportion of it has already been spent on investigations and pain relief. Storm cares for everyone else around her, now it's my turn to care for Storm. She is my very best friend in the whole world.
