Islanders for an MDI (Bar Harbor) Dog Park are raising funds to open a much needed public dog park on Mount Desert Island(Bar Harbor), Maine!
This will be available for all to enjoy!
This venture began when my dear little angel, Ziggy Kessel, passed away! He was a pet therapy dog That blessed us for twenty four wonderful years! Yes, 24! He retired and became a local shop dog in Bar Harbor! Many fell deeply in love with him!
and would come into the shop just to get their "puppy fix." He brought so much joy and helped business and morale!
My drive and motivation is honoring dear Ziggy's memory. This "Go Fund Me" campaign is step one; a beginning to a dream for many here on the island to have an safe enclosed fenced in area for dogs! This is my way to contribute to the community and conclude doing something positive in in Ziggy's honor!
Any donation will be accepted, and the SPCA of Hancock Co has agreed to partner with us! I humbly request what you can donate to please do so. The goal is to have enough
funding to begin the dream by the end of this year!
