New Wheelchair For Angie

Many of you know my auntie Angie but for those who don't meet Angela Gumbrill. She is 37 years old and resides in Lydd with her sister and full time carer Kate and family.
Angie is kind of unique.. A one of a kind of you like! She has various (I hate this word) 'disabilities/conditions' which has meant she has needed full time care since birth. To list a few:
Spina bifadah
Congenital hip disorder
Completely deaf
Partially sighted
Club foot
1 Leg longer than the other and lastly is tube fed as can't take food orally.

Earlier this year Angie became very poorly... She was in and out of hospital which various things wrong including pneumonia, infections, problems with swallowing which has resulted in a peg being put into her stomach but worst of all she started losing her mobility in her legs and arms/hands.

This was caused by pressure on the spinal cord. She was rushed to Kings and after an agonising 8 hour operation they managed to fit a plate in her spine releasing the pressure and slowly her mobility is coming back but it will never be as good as it was.

Due to the changes in her mobility she now requires a new wheelchair. And due to funding issues and paperwork being lost by the NHS Angie is looking at months before a new chair can even be ordered leaving her practically house bound.

For all those who know and love our Angie she enjoys nothing more than being taken out for walks, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. So the thought of not being able to do this for MONTHS is not acceptable!

Her friends/family have decided to get together and raise money to get a wheelchair privately made for her by a specialist company.

Please help us reach our goal and get Angie's new wheels.
