Saalih's EuroProSoccer Trials

My name is Saalih and I am a 19 year old soccer player from Richmond, CA. and I have a dream that is in need of your support.  My dream is to become a 1st Division footballer in Europe. 

I was born with bilateral clubfoot, a congenital deformity   that caused my feet to be twisted inward. At 6 months of age, a surgery was successfully performed to correct my feet. Upon completion, the doctor advised  my parents that I might never be a competitive athlete. For the next 18 months I wore a series of casts and braces on both feet. Fast forward 15 years, despite my doctor's opinion, I managed to not only become  a youth sprint champion but also a highly decorated soccer player.

 After attending a Dinamo Zagreb sponsored ID camp in the summer of 2013, I was chosen to play for Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia, which is one of Europe's top soccer academies. After leaving  Dinamo Zagreb, I continued my pursuit with the Portland Timbers Academy. I then went  onto three professional trials with Sacramento Republic (California), Charlotte Independence (North Carolina), and AFC Amsterdam (Holland).

I have been able to expirence all of this at the young age of 19  with nothing but a dream,  passion, drive, and the support of my family and friends. 

I am now at an important time of soccer career. This is the time where I have put it all on the line, or risk being forgotten forever. To do this I need your support to cover airfare, housing, transportation, and  food while I trial for several clubs in Europe.

Having been on such a taxing journey filled with ups and downs, and so many life lessons; I am ready to push even harder for a dream that I know  is attainable for a boy from Richmond, born with club foot, odds against him, and a huge heart.

All I need is  support from people who are willing to lend a helping hand.
