Team Raising Cane
Raising Cane is a community of innovative paddlers, skaters and endurance athletes who have nurtured their sports in its many forms to new heights with their creativity and competitive prowess. But it’s not just about talent. It’s about ATTITUDE; it’s about the SPIRIT of competition, and ultimately FUN. Our team riders give back to the community though various philanthropic organizations, from safety awareness to coaching and fundraising.
As skaters and paddlers, Raising Cane seeks to explore the art of land paddling, the design of long boards, land paddles and other facets of distance skating and SSUP.
Special Olympics SUP program is something that is dear to me. Sharing the sport I love with the Intellectually Disabled Athletes gives me so much pleasure because I see how much learning to SUP gives to them. Building confidence, being on the water, and staying active is great for everyone and I am proud to be a part of the Special Olympics Florida SUP Program in Area 11, for Intellectually Disabled Athletes in Monroe and Miami-Dade County.
All funds raised will benefit the Area 11 SUP Program of Special Olympics Florida, supporting the training and competition events that the team delegations partake in.
Special Olympics provides year-round training, competition and medical care at no cost to children and adults with Intellectual Disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Autism and Cerebral Palsy. Raising Cane is committed to supporting the mission of Special Olympics, providing hope and joy through the power of sports to all people with Intellectual Disabilities.
