MDS Breezy's Battle to BMT & cure

Donation protected
This young lady has had a rough beginning, which resulted in her having Cerebral Palsy and an awesome personality! Now at 21 she is having a rough middle! Her name is Brianna and she needs some help! She is truly a strong young lady but she and her family cannot do it alone! PLEASE I AM BEGGING FOR HELP FOR BRIANNA!!!! MDS, myelodysplastic syndrome, is a bone marrow failure disease that rarely strikes people under the age of 50.  At this time Brianna is going through Chemo with the hope to eventually be able to get a bone marrow transplant.  Her treatments are in St Louis where she has to go at least once a week for lab work and check ups to see where the disease stands.  She is still very upbeat and other than being extremely tired and susceptible to infections, she is doing well at this time.  She also receives blood transfusions once to twice a month to keep her hemoglobin levels above critical levels.              *Update*:              Brianna had her transplant in August of 2016 just after she turned 22.  Now, in February of 2017, she is gearing up to start chemo again for a booster dose of stem cells from the bone marrow harvest of her donor for a second time.  We, her family, are so very grateful to the generous human who has put their life in a holding pattern to help a stranger with this life saving procedure.  We are looking forward to the day when we can embrace that donor face to face and let them know how much their gift means.  We also are looking forward to a time when we can gather all our friends and family together and celebrate Breezy's life with a big ole Buffalo Chicken Party (Breezy's request for her "Kicked Cancers butt" party).  This #PinkDragon is going to roar for a long time after she is in deep remission!!!  ** Update**:  It's been a long road already,  with it being just over two years since the first diagnosis of pernicious anemia. Today is + 295 since her original transplant last summer, and day 9 of a 10 day round of chemo gearing up for another DLI (booster of cells from the original donor, donor leukocyte infusion).  Next week that booster of cells will hopefully push her into remission which is going to set her up for another round of full transplant.   This second transplant will be done with the help of one of her siblings who are 50% matches instead of the 100% of the original donor.   This shows just how many people it takes to bring about healing.  The team of medical professionals, friends, strangers and unknown individuals just sending a little positive energy her way.   I truly believe she could not have made it this far with out all that influence and positive force.        ***UPDATE***  Four DLI's later after her original transplant, today Breezy was admitted for another transplant. Brother and Sister were ousted out of being the donor this time by another unknown hero. She will have at least 3 weeks in the hospital again, with chemo, transfusions of blood and platelets and loads of various medications to help the en-grafting of cells to her bone marrow and to fight off every type of infection. On Thursday February 21 she will receive the stem cells that we hope will shove MDS into a deep remission and give her the chance to live, hopefully cancer free for at least a few years.
