Youthaiti Hurricane Matthew Relief

Donation protected
Youthaiti is a registered 501c3 non-profit that has been working in rural Haiti since 2008 on projects of sustainable sanitation and agriculture.  We have worked closely with people in the most rural and isolated communities of Grande'Anse, the area hit hardest by Hurricane Matthew.

The reports out of Duchity, the village where our work is centered, are grim.  Every house with a tin roof has been destroyed.  Gardens are gone.  There is no clean water.
Thousands of people are without adequate shelter, water or food and at least 5 people in the village were killed.

Youthaiti will mobilize resources to get water treatment, sanitation and help with rebuilding of homes as soon as possible to this area that is often 'off the radar' for large aid organizations.    Right now, there is no telecommunications at all with people in this area, and they are completely cut off by road.  If we are able to raise enough funds, we will find a way to get urgently needed supplies to the area by air, if need be.

We would like to start as soon as possible.  I am so worried that people are starving, without clean water and diseases such as cholera will spread quickly.

Any help, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference.  We appreciate your support.  It may save a life.  You can read about our work and updates on www.youthaiti.org.
