Where It All Begun...
Young Girls Thrive was founded in 2016 as a community interest company by Sherisha Haynes. After years of working in education as a mentor she saw that many female students had a lot of issues with their confidence and self-esteem and how to deal with the changes that came with adultolescence, culture & acceptance and negative/limited mindsets. Alongside this a another issue that concerned her was the lack of scope on opportunties to vast industries and exposure many young women are not experiencing in regards to career opportunities.
Our Mission...
"To empower and motivate young women aged 12-21 years old; by means of promoting and encouraging individuality; through challenging the limitations of their mind-sets, in order to reach their full potential in life."
Your donations will help us sustain the running of the project by helping us rent a space to facilitate and run our workshops, Big Sister, Little Sister mentoring programme, and provide a safe, encouraging environment which will allow the young women to Thrive, Grow and inspire them.
Our project will give them the opportunity to work and engage with successful women from various industries.They will gain access to valuable training, experience and the opportunity to work and develope their confidence and self-esteem,motivation and explore their goals and career paths. Alongside this we also use drama and other creative tools to work on various areas in their lives.

The young women we work with are from low income families in deprived areas of London. We want to ensure those that are not able to get support with travel expenses and lunch costs have access to this alongside ensuring we are able to cover the costs of running our organisation.
We hope to raise this money by July 31st 2017, as we want to be able to continue the work we do throughout the rest of this year,which this money will support and help sustain us.
