Yellville City Park Splash Pad

A little over two years ago, the Yellville City Park Commission had a vision of bringing a nice water feature to the Sports Park.  Even though our area is flush with rivers and creeks, we recognized a need for a safe clean area for infants and toddlers as well as for our handicapped and elderly friends to enjoy getting wet during the hot time of the year.  So we set about the process of figuring out what would work, who could build it  and how to pay for it.   Last October, after going through a vetting process with Arkansas Parks and Tourism,  our 50/50 grant funding request was presented to the APT board and was subsequently approved.   Our goal is to build a 3,630 SF Splash Pad featuring 16 above ground water features, 29 gorund sprays and 9 reactions features that are all user activated.  The Pad will also include 4 shade shelters, tables. benches and accessories to make the Pad the most fun place to be.   The cost of the project is $305,000.  Our part is half of that amount, $152,500.  We've got most of it, but could use some help from you getting the rest of the way.  Our goal is to raise $30,000 by June 1, 2018.  Your financial support of this project will provide a much needed place for our kids and familys to have a fun, safe, wet and cool time.  Thank you in advance for your support of this project and the Yellville Parks Commission.
