Seattle Heterosexual Pride Parade

Donation protected
Every year Seattle hosts one of the largest Gay Pride Parades. Throughout June and July, depending on where you live, we are shown rainbows and the Gay community is celebrated. This year we want to have a Heterosexual Pride Parade. We shouldn't need to feel ashamed of being straight, and there should be a celebration of that fact.

To celebrate being heterosexual we want to hold a parade on Capitol Hill in Seattle that starts at Cal Anderson Park at the south end of the neighborhood and marching up to Volunteer Park. To do this we need to pay for the permits, and since Seattle is incredibly liberal there will likely be people who don't think people should celebrate their heterosexuality, so for the safety of the group we will likely have to pay for the police to be there, like they do for the Gay Pride Parade.

At the end of the parade we want to have a rally at Volunteer Park with local comics, and bands, all who will celebrate Heterosexual Pride.

Permits are expensive though so we are appealing to our fellows to help make the cost of them. Any money left over after the permits and parade will be donated.
