Fundraising for Community Services Project in Peru
In the summer of 2018 we will be in Peru for 4 weeks on one of the Camps International volunteering community service trips. We will be improving school facilities, building green houses, improving sanitation facilities and tourism development. In addition, we will be doing community work that involves environmental reforestation projects that address habitat destruction in Peru. This will all benefit the rural communities. The cost of the trip is £4,290 per student meaning our target was originally £8,580 between the two of us. As of the beginning of October we have managed to raise £5,120 through generous donations and other activities. Our remaining target is just £3,580! We have numerous further fundraising activities planned such as car boot sales and part time jobs. This fundraising activity that we are inviting people to sponsor is a three-day sponsored hike along the 102-mile length of The Cotswolds Way. We will do it over the up-coming half term whatever the weather starting on Saturday 21 October. We would be extremely grateful for any donations to our cause that will enable us to carry out our community work in Peru next summer!
We are doing this walk alone and not in a group, but our Dad will do the walk with us. We are hoping to help him with his current goal of reducing himself to 95kg. Anyone who would like to walk with us would be more than welcome!
