Hello, my name is Matt and I'm trying to combat my Crohns disease.  I was diagnosed with Crohns about 6 years ago. It came out of nowhere and turned my life upside down.  When I first got it I lost 30 lbs in 16 days and couldn't get out of bed for 5 months. At the time I was in college and I was about a year away from getting my degree in Biology. But because I was so sick and in the hospital all the time I had to stop attending college, and have yet to be able to return.  Its been 6 years since the first time I got sick and I've never really returned to 100%.  Then this past summer, starting about 6 months ago I began to get really sick again. It started off with a little pain and some bleeding. Towards the end I was in very extreme pain and a lot of bleeding every single day. I dont have any insurance {because medical insurance doesn't cover the cost of my Crohns medication, 900.00 a month} so I was trying to avoid going to the hospital but it became too much to bare anymore.  I ended up spending 6 days in the hospital. While I was there the doctors told me my Crohns had changed from a moderate form, to a very severe form of Crohns. Now I'm not only trying to recover physically, but finacially as well. I missed a lot of work leading up to the week I spent in the hospital and all the medications are very expensive. I just got my first bill from the hospital today for 71,000.00 and theres more to come.  I know I have to put a goal amount on here but any and everything will help out tremendously.
