Christian's #StopAbuse Fund

My name is Kory and I am the Auntie of the young fella named Christian Duck Chief in the picture attached....
On or about April 1st, 2016 my nephew a young father of 4 children was mistakenly arrested within his home at 6am by local rcmp authorities on Siksika Nation Alberta.
They entered his home looking for another suspect that was in the same area. So while my nephew and his wife were sleeping in their home, the arresting officers entered the residence without announcing themselves and thinking they were a burgular my nephew reacted when one of the officers used a pressure point tactic to wake him and in defense he bit the officers finger. So they proceeded to beat him. However, once Christian realized it was the police he stopped immediately, however, They Did Not and repeatedly elbowed my nephew in the face while the other officer attending held him down. This continued on within their home and then they dragged him out without clothes and continued to beat him in the police car and although he was in need of medical attention they did not call until he brought into a police cell.
My nephew was admitted to the hospital with significant injuries that required surgery to preserve his vision and will need future reconstrucutive surgery (pending) and will suffer longer term injuries as a result.
This incident has scarred his entire family, his common law wife and children for life as they all witnessed this atrocity.
There was no need for this type of Abuse to occur and from the hands of those in authority, those entrusted to protect all Canadian Citizens.
As we are now looking towards healing for Christian and his family. We are now in the process of raising funds to covers health and other costs related to the injuries Christian received and further proceedings related to this as a result of the abuse suffered at the hands of Police Authority here in Canada in the area of Siksika Nation, Alberta.
The funds raised will also help towards all costs related to helping to heal his now traumatized family as well and to continue his fight against these abuses and the wrongful accusations made against him. It is being anticipated that costs will exceed more than $20,000.00 as health and travel costs alone can only be estimated at this time. Costs to attend specialists, or other necessary health facilites are unable to be estimated at this time. All in all, this is to ultimately help my nephew on the healing path of his physical and mental self.
Other costs will be going towards costs for continued respresentation of Christian by those advocating for him through the Justice system, as it is only through these avenues that abuse cases like Christian's are heard and which we would like to see actions by Governments (Provinicial or Federal) creating protective measures to be put into place for all CANADIANS.
We humbly are seeking for donations to help with this cause and if you are unable to donate, then we ask for your prayers for Christian in the healing of him, his family and for these types of abuse by those in authority to stop. Thank you and may our loving God (Creator) bless you all.
