Hi Everyone,
For the past 10 years I've been a professional actor, I have always wanted to study with an amazing group of actors out of the UK called "Spymonkey". To me they are the top performers/teachers of Clown and have a direct lineage to the founders and creators of Clown and Buffoonery. Ever since studying this type of acting, I have been fasinated by it's range and difficulty. Exposing ones insecuritys to an audience in a manner of pure enjoyment, playfulness and extreme failure, I found it to be some of the best training I have ever experienced as an actor. I always loved the quote "The clown is always laughing and crying at the same time."
Well luck has it that they will be coming to The Los Angeles Clown School to teach a week long class to 12 lucky students and I have a spot!
So far I have found no one who teaches this type of training (besides myself) in both Washington and Oregon to actors not at a conservatory or college. So I ask that you help me fund this class so I can comeback and bring the teaching back to the actors in the great North West.
More than a donation (though I'll happily accept them) I'm asking actors interested to sign up fora workshop ($75) or private coaching ($40-60) in advance. Many of you already study with me monthly, so I'm seeing if you would be ok paying for a workshop early. The money will go to cover the workshop in LA, airfare, and lodging. I will keep track of all donations and see who signed up early.
