Hello, my name is Katie and I am 19 years of age. So I've always wanted to travel the world, and I've also always wanted to teach. So I thought why not combine the two.
I first came across camp Thailand whilst I was at college not knowing what I really wanted to do in the future, so I applied and obviously I was accepted! I will be going to thailand for a total of three weeks, at the end June 2017.
By doing this I will be following my dream in not only teaching, but teaching underpriviledged children. Whilst I am there, I will also be visiting orphanages, to make donations to the children, which Camp thailand do as well. I will be taking things that we see every day as a general thing that children have, but to children in thailand, it would be something new to them, For example, toys, stationary, books etc.. Which could have a massive impact on the children, knowing that there is people out there who do want to look after them and love them.
The money raised on this page will go towards buying stationary, toys and more for the children I come into contact with whilst I am. Any extra money spare will go towards paying for my flights to and from Thailand.
