Help Survivors of Domestic Violence

Tipton County has an estimated 20,000 unreported domestic and sexual abuse cases each year.

To say that there is a great need to provide help for these victims and their families is an understatement.

I have personal experience with this problem and am keenly aware of the gap that needs to be filled to provide help for victims of Domestic Violence who live in Tipton county. It is my sincere desire to operate Amanda's Way in loving memory of my sister Amanda Wallace Chapman who was murdered July 15, 2003 by her husband. No famliy should have to suffer a loss like we have and not know where to turn for help.

Something needs to change, and with your help and support, we can make that happen! Amanda's Way has connections with local law enforecment, other community agencies, and county officials. By creating a shelter for victims and their children, we will be able to offer them the means to leave their abuser and have a safe place to stay until they are able to sustain themselves. We will also offer counseling and legal assistance to those in need through various community organizations that provide these services.

But we can't do it without you!
