Wyke Food Bank
Donation protected
As many people will already be aware, the Wyke Food Bank was broken in to over the weekend of the 8th & 9th of December.
Not only were food and supplies taken, but also the television and vacuum cleaner, and the property has been damaged so will need some repairs.
We would like to see the food bank get back on it's feet as soon as possible, especially as it's coming up to Christmas and there will be many people relying on it for a proper meal over the festive period.
The Wyke Village Residents Association are already donating food and supplies that we know the food bank urgently need and we're aware that individuals, schools and businesses in the village have been very generous and forthcoming with donations too.
However, the Food Bank will still need money to repair or replace the door and locks, appliances and equipment, and to increase security etc so anything you can give will be very much appreciated and used to benefit the people in our community that are most in need.
