We are Nancy and Lyndon Krahn of Mitchell Manitoba. On October 12th we will have been married 30 years.
We have 3 adult children.
On Sunday December 7th, 2014 while in church Nancy had a severe hemeragic stroke, center and left deep in her brain stem. She was rushed to the ER in Steinbach and from there was air lifted Health Science Center in Winnepeg. The stroke nearly took Nancys life.
We thank God that she is still alive and with us today!
Nancy spent Christmas at HSC, New Years at the St. Boniface Hospital, and was transfered to River View Health Center on January 14th, was given a weekend pass to celibrate Easter at home, and came home on April 14th, 2015. It was a long winter.
Nancy has no sensation on her entire right side yet has severe pain on the right side. Nancy has ataxia on her left side. Her speach is improving and her double vision is almos gone.
We are raising money to replace lost wages, pay for the expenses of making our house wheelchair accessable, get exercise equipment that will help Nancy live a healthy life style and possibly learn how to walk again. There have been and continue to be many extra expenses that have come up with this life altering experiance. Extra driving to appointments, new glasses, new medications, wheelchair and the list goes on.
