Hi!
My name is Brittany DeVries I'm a creative producer living in Panama City, Panama. My husband and I have four children, we are the first foster family in Panama's Pilot Fostercare Program.
Recently I was invited to screen my short documentary "A World Without Orphans" in Chiang Mai, Thailand at the upcoming Global Forum for World Without Orphans (February 2016).
In their own words: "This will be a strategic time to activate, connect, and equip the Christian community worldwide to address the orphan crisis, as leaders from around the world develop and share solutions that provide every child with a safe, stable, and nurturing family."
Since screening "A World Without Orphans" at the Christian Alliance for Orphans Summit in Nashville, TN (May 2015) our documentary has been featured on numerous websites: Better Care Network, Faith To Action, World Without Orphans, Orphan Resources and Missions Dilemma. We are also included in Faith To Action's "Journey of Faith" 6-week training course for churches and ministries.
So what makes the Global Forum: WWO screening special? Nearly 200 global leaders will be gathered in Thailand February 11th-14th. Many are leading national movements within their countries (i.e. Kenya Without Orphans), impacting thousands of children - encouraging their local churches and communities to become involved through family reunification, foster care and adoption. This is an incredible opportunity to meet with and form relationships with leaders of these movements. From the beginning our goal has been to offer the documentary as a free resource to be used to further national movements. Currently our documentary is being translated into Spanish and Romanian.
Up to this point myself and producer/director Dianne Becker have personally covered costs associated in producing "A World Without Orphans" we have donated thousands of hours of our time.
Please help support my upcoming trip to Thailand and be a part of the movement advocating for children's rights. I need to book my flight by December 15th and confirm with WWO that I will be there!
