Chris Kirk's Hospital Expenses

Donation protected
A hard working Potterville family of 5 is in need this holiday season.  Chris Kirk (39) has courageously battled a physically limiting and chronic medical condition his whole life called, Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (stiffening of the joints).  Without the use of his hands, arms, ankles, knees or hips, he has still worked to provide for his wife and 3 children.  Chris has had approximately 30 surgeries in attempts to make his life easier.

He recently suffered a broken foot due to this condition, which has significantly worsened into osteomyolitis.  He has been hospitalized and unable to work since December 11th.  He is fighting hard to recover but will be hospitalized for at least another 6 weeks.  His wife continues to try and work, while also taking their 3 boys to the hospital to be with Chris as much as possible.

The utility and medical bills keep coming in, having an impact on funds for groceries and any Christmas gifts for their children. The members of the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office are gathering food donations, and cash donations for Christmas gifts and bill payments for the Chris Kirk family during this difficult time.  Community members who wish to assist in providing a brighter holiday season for the Kirks are encouraged to leave items at our main office in Charlotte at 1025 Independence Blvd or at our Delta Township substation 7808 Administration Drive (Offices located behind the Delta Twp Fire station #1).

This go fund me account is also being set up to receive donations to help offset Chris's medical bills.

You may remember seeing this family in the LSJ when they were raising money by mowing lawns and collecting pop cans to send the Potterville youth soccer team to a national competition in FL over the summer.  Chris was the coach and his son, was on the team.  Chris had the boys put in a lot of hard work to earn their trip to go.  They are good people.
