PLEASE HELP MY MOM

Donation protected

Thank you for taking the time to read this . First and foremost .. in the past 24 hours.. I've had to really humble myself to post this on here . Being that I am in a panic being thousands of miles away I have to do something. Many of you who know me. I am probably one of the last people you would think would be posting on GFM.

As a professional soccer player and that being my identity my entire life .. it is important that everyone know that I am a ball buster so to speak and I am always able to find a way. As many of you know ..my soccer career has never been one that has awarded me wealth but rather gave me an opportunity to travel the world and play a sport that I love ! I am now beginning a new chapter in my life as a physical education teacher and I am so fortunate that I still have the opportunity to do what I love .  I consider myself a true survivor as I have been on my own since I was a teenager . My brother Dorian and I are not one for handouts or charity and we are both trying to do our best to take care of ourselves and family .

Today is the day I've come to terms with needing your help. I write this to all of our friends , colleagues and loved ones with a broken heart as my mother due to a very unfortunate situation has attempted to take her life. This is my moms story .

My mom who moved to a small village 13 years ago after divorcing my dad... felt the need to isolate herself from society . We have always wanted mom to be a productive citizen and wanted her to  find a way to support herself and become independent . Boy we were wrong !  My big brother KWAME who many got the pleasure of knowing died 3 years ago and my mother really took a turn for the worst . Both my baby brother an I have had our hard days as well but have had to push through the pain. We have all been working to keep her up, alive and running and it is now that I need your help. I feel desperate as her daughter, and as our moms children we are now discovering as adults that our moms isolation and the inability to leave her home or work is due to mental health issues . She spends her entire day in her home that has a tremendous amount of deferred maintenance which she is fine with .. She has no human interaction and lives without running water and heat at times. It is disheartening that I as myself cannot contribute much to her survival . Due to her 2 years of not being able to pay her property taxes..being on welfare and being diagnosed as clinically depressed has put her in a space of surrender. She WILL LOSE her home by the end of February 2017... in Willingdon Alberta Canada. If she is not able to pay $8,000 in which would get her out of losing her home . It is all she has and I personally know her attachment to it.. She is very sad and lonely and has  been threatenting   to leave her life recently.  Obviously there are a lot of blanks in this story that are so true but the main point is what I am sharing for now. So as her only daughter and  her only friend I feel it's my duty to humble myself and ask for help. I don't want my mom to struggle and although she has a long road for recovery as far as her mental state , our focus is now keeping her stable in hopes that she will be able to remain in her home .My brother Dorian who is more of a local than myself  is willing to attend therapy  with her and be there to guide her in every moment he has to spare outside of hisown  family needs. You all know me for the most part.If you have any questions or concerned about the authenticity of this posting please feel free to call me or Dorian at  my number 310.634.6348 and Dorian [phone redacted]. I live in California  and I just got my first job as a educater in fitness and wellness at a school. So with that being said its really me asking for  your support.

Please know that no amount is too small and anything is greatly appreciated . Please Pray if you do or send good vibes her way however you roll.
