About the campaign: On Jan. 21, 2017 (the day after the inauguration of Donald Trump), a demonstration will take place near the Capitol called the Women's March on Washington.
The "Windsor bus" includes 56 participants from across the Southwest Ontario region. It was the first bus to be organized out of Canada (there are ten buses now booked in total) to join the more than 200,000 people who are preparing to march in solidarity and in support of the continued struggle for women's equity and equality: we will not allow our rights to roll back. Women’s rights are human rights.
The funds raised from this campaign support the Windsor bus contingent by helping sponsor 4 spots, offsetting costs of supplies for the participants (including the #wmwCanada toque that will identify the Canadian contingent) and the "Windsor & Southwest Ontario" #wmwCanada banner. Update: five spots on the bus have been sponsored!
Your support in any amount, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated! All remaining proceeds will be contributed to the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women in Windsor - and it symbolizes your support of this endeavour.
