Women Set Free

As many of you know, I have been a volunteer numerous times in a small part of Africa called Swaziland. This year I am not going but I am still keen to help the team who are going out in June. Next Wednesday I will be climbing Slieve Donard to raise donations for a project called Women Set Free. Women Set Free is an outreach to offer physically and sexually abused ladies who are caught in addictions a place of refuge and safety. The aim is to help provide them with shelter, food, clothing, help and love. This is the only centre in the whole of the nation of Swaziland that does this. Currently providing support for twelve ladies it has stepped out to build another accommodation unit to allow another twelve ladies to experience hope and love. This fundraiser will enable this project to be completed and a place to be built for a further twelve ladies to be in an accommodation unit by the end of the summer. My heart goes out to these ladies who have to put up with a culture and attitude that turns thousands into victims. If I can only help one lady escape then I will feel I have at least done something and though many may still be victims that one will not. On behalf of myself and the team, we appreciate any support you can give. Every penny counts and all donations will go towards WSF (Women Set Free) and each and every donation is much appreciated.
