WOMEN BUILD- JOIN ME TO BUILD A HOUSE FOR HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Many of you have been involved in some fashion with Habitat for Humanity. You may have shopped at their ReStore for building materials, or donated cabinets/sinks/tubs/doors to ReStore. Or maybe you participated in a build event and swung a hammer or swished a paintbrush.
I have done all these things and even had the pleasure of locating a few buildings for Habitat for ReStore locations here in Tampa Bay. I even had the pleasure of facilitating a $29,000 donation to Habitat Headquarters from the CREW Foundation to fund Girls Build, a program that educated middle school girls about home ownership and its merits. In short, I am a big fan of the organization.
(Habitat for Humanity affords home ownership to families in need who also provide a minimum of 400 hours of sweat equity in building their home.)
Today I am inviting you to do two things: first, sign up to build one of these homes beginning in the Spring. I am fielding a team of women and men (70% female/30% male) to participate over a six week period beginning in late March, 2020. Second, donate on my go fund me page to enable us to sponsor at TWO homes, with a goal of $12,000.
