SummerFest on The Rio Event
Don protégé
SummerFest on the Rio was started in 2001 as a way to promote the San Luis Valley's eclectic arts and crafts community. Musical entertainment comes from all genres local and afar. The Saturday poker run was created to help students in the arts and music field at Adams State University through sholarship funding. Our way of paying it forward. Since then, the annual festival has been held along the winding Rio Grande on the first weekend in June. It's the kick-off to summertime in Alamosa's spacious and picturesque Cole Park.
SummerFest is a non-profit organization with all volunteer staff memebers, who offer this family fun filled weekend with no admission required. We need your help in keeping this tradition alive.
