Winter Dinner Transport Fund

Firstly Thank you so much to those who time and time again have helped in funding transport to the RAMSI and MASI solidarity dinners for those attending from DP centres around the country. We're really looking forward to the next dinner on December 15th, to come together around food music conversation (and maybe even some dancing), to build community and break down the isolation and separation built into the Direct Provision system. We will hear from inspiring speakers campaigning and building towards the ending of the unjust treatment of those in Ireland seeking asylum.
Many of those who attend the dinners and who plan to come on December 15th are living in the Direct Provision system, this, amongst other things means employment opportunities which are very restricted and up until very recently were non existent.
In the absence of access to work people in DP have to try make do with just over 20 euro a week. This means that expensive public transport especially for those who are living far away from Dublin in centres in Monaghan or Kerry or Mayo is not really an option. So if you have a little to spare to chip in towards these transport costs it would go a long way.
