My name is Erica and my family has decided to adopt a baby!
We have felt called by God to adopt and it has been made clear through prayer and fasting that now is the time! Is it convenient? Timely? Cheap? Absolutely not. But when has God ever called Joey and me to "play it safe"? Our two biological children are both school-age so it feels a bit like starting over, but we are anxious to see what God has in store!
My husband is an Associate Pastor at New River Fellowship church and I oversee the ministry http://www.believeboldly.com. Our son, Tristan, is 9, and our daughter, Reese, is 6.
We are working with the Gladney Center for Adoption in Fort Worth, TX. They are an agency that has led the way in adoption care and reformative legislation for the past 130 years. They are reputable and have stood the test of time.
We are most excited about they way Gladney cares for the women who come to them for their services. By choosing life for their unborn baby, these women are supported and loved immensely by Gladney. The center provides food, housing, job and life-skills training for each woman that chooses to benefit from their services. These women leave with zero medical bills and a hand-up in life.
Joey and I have always supported anti-abortion laws and understood that our vote was only a small part of the solution for children in need.
We know that not everyone is able to adopt, but we believe everyone is called to play a role in caring for orphans. If you are someone who believes in the sanctity of life but cannot adopt, we pray that you would consider partnering with us in our journey. We cannot do this without the financial help of our family, friends, and church community. Your donation would mean the world to us!
