A while ago I foolishly posted on Instagram that if I got over 1000 likes I would shave my hair off. Well, it took a while but I’ve got the 1k and I’m sticking to my word. So on Wednesday 3rd April it’s off with my hair!! I’ve always wanted to do something for charity, so this is s perfect opportunity. I’m going to raise money to help my neighbour who suffers with Ataxia - Telangiectasia (A-T).
Ataxia-Telangiectasia (A-T) is a rare genetic condition with around 180 known cases currently in the UK. It effects the brain, (but not cognitively)the immune system, lungs and progressively limits the body’s coordination and movement. Most children with A-T need to use a wheelchair regularly by the age of 10.
Lola is 10 in July, as you can see from the photo, she has a smile that could brighten anyone’s day and with her ear defenders in, she loves watching England play football! It makes me sad when Lola can’t join in when I’m out playing with my brother, she’s not able to scoot up and down the street or run around after a football...
Lola will shortly be getting an electric wheelchair, which will help her and her mum, Jo, so much, to continue enjoying days out together. To be able to transport the wheelchair, Jo needs a new car and that is what your donations will be used for.
Please help me keep that gorgeous smile on Lola’s face. Every little helps.
