Little "D" and Wheeler Family

Donation protected
Dayton first came into the Wheeler's lives in early July of 2016 at their nephews birthday party.  They didn't know his story or what the future would hold together, but they formed a bond that night, as that little blonde haired, blue eyed boy became attached to Brett very quickly. A week or two passed and Dayton would spend the weekends with the Wheeler's before returning back to his aunts house for the week.

On September the 7th of 2016, They got the call that Dayton was theirs, for the time being.  They officially became his guardians and caregivers.

Since that day Ashley and Brett and their family and friends have welcomed "D" into their lives and homes with open arms. In every sense of the word, D has been a member of the Wheeler family for over 3 years now, as they have had sole custody of him!

In September D welcomed his little brother into this world with a smiling face! D is TDubbs biggest fun and loves being a big brother.

Since his biological fathers release from State Prison in April of 2018, both his biological mother and father have been trying to regain custody of Dayton. Because of the ways laws are written in Florida, they can be awarded full and sole custody of him, despite him being in the states care since April of 2016.  On Nov 22, the Wheeler's  have a court hearing that will determine the placement of Dayton.

It would be a shame to know that D spent all of his life with the Wheeler family, and then the next day he never sees them again.  It is unfortunate that reunification is placed before the best interest of the child.  I can't imagine having a child that called us Mommy and Daddy for over 3 years just be gone.  The Wheeler's stepped up when this child needed a family.  They said "yes."  They did what they were called to do... to take care of the fatherless.  Please help "D" continue to stay with his family.  The family that has raised him.  The family that has been with him and loved him through many sleepless nights.  The family that has called him son.  Let's not continue to inflict pain on the child.  He will live a lifetime questioning where Mommy and Daddy went and why?   Uprooting a child after this much time has passed would be detrimental.

We are asking for financial support for the Wheeler family to help support them legally.   They have to fight and be the voice of this sweet boy.  The legal bills are accumulating now and the money has run out at the very end of this battle.  Any monetary donation no matter how big or small will help them have a chance.

Please continue to pray for them all.  The road has been long and hard.  We need God to intervene and guide the courts decision.  Thank you for your prayers and financial contributions.
