Welcome Home of Chattanooga Ultra-Marathon

Tax deductible
Background
A little over a year ago, we lost my father to a long fight with cancer. In the weeks before he died, we were incredibly fortunate to work with a hospice provider that made sure he was cared for, comfortable, and always surrounded with love. Hospice care must be a true calling, because I’ve never seen such a hands-on emotionally arduous job.

When she was not looking after my dad (and us!), the nurse visited Welcome Home of Chattanooga, an organization that provides a shelter and compassionate end of life care for those in need. There seems no better gesture of goodness than to give love and care to an individual at the end of their life, especially when that person has come from a life without much of either.

Our Goal
This March, I’ll be running the Monument Valley 50 Mile Ultra Marathon in support of Welcome Home of Chattanooga’s mission to provide to provide shelter, healing, and compassionate end of life care for those in need. With our contributions and a goal of $6K, they can continue to work on building a permanent home, and eventually expand to offer these incredible services in more cities across the U.S.

Please take some time to watch their awe-inspiring video in the link above, and pledge your support to give love and compassionate care to those who need it the most.
