Hello Friends and Family!

As many of you know, I just graduated from Grand Canyon University with a degree in Finance. Being done a semester early and knowing that I will return to running my scuba business next summer, left me with a 6-month gap. While I wasn’t sure of how I would use this time, God called me to do something that I never dreamed I would do. I was in Portland, Oregon attending my friend’s wedding when I was confronted with the idea of taking part in a missions trip through an organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM). My friend Nick, his wife, and a couple members of the wedding party had previously attended YWAM, and they shared with me how big of an impact their experience had on their lives and encouraged me to consider praying about being a part of YWAM. I found myself dismissing the idea again and again, but despite my original reluctance God prompted me to trust Him, and go. As God worked on preparing my heart, the rest of the story fell into place.

The first part of my travels will take me to Kona, Hawaii (I know, I know… some mission trip huh!?) where I will be training from January 7th to the end of March, followed by an outreach phase in Kathmandu, Nepal from then until June.

Our YWAM team uses fitness as the platform for reaching others with the love of Christ. During my time in Hawaii I will not only be training physically, but I will also be training mentally and spiritually through daily classes and other discipleship exercises so that I am better equipped to share the gospel of Christ. Our team will be conditioning every day while in Kona so that we have the strength and endurance to carry backpacks filled with Bibles to the most remote tribes in the mountains of Nepal.

The reason for my writing is to humbly ask for your support, first and foremost, through prayer. Please pray that the Lord will work in and through me to touch the lives of others, and also pray for my back which has been an ongoing issue for me. The other way I would welcome your support is financially. In total, the 6-month experience of training, outreach and airfare, will cost upwards of $10,000.  I can receive donations until the 1st of April.

I am so excited for the opportunity to grow closer to Jesus and carry out the Lord’s calling, as it says in Matthew 28:19, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.”

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! God bless,
