Ashley is battling cancer for a second time; after being diagnosed just over a year ago with cervical cancer, she went through treatment and by December everyone was delighted to find out that the cancer had all gone (just in time for Christmas)!
Due to the radiotherapy Ashley had undergone, she started getting horrific pains at the beginning of this year, only to be told that the treatment had damaged her bowls and that this unfortunately would not be able to be fixed. Obviously this wasn’t great news but all in all Ashley just felt lucky that the cancer was gone no matter what side effects she was left with.
A little over a month ago, Ashley started experiencing unbearable pains in her bladder and legs, she was told that this was perfectly normal considering the treatment she had undergone and nothing to worry about by her GP, doctors at a&e and even the doctors at the Beatson and was given strong painkillers.
After a few days, Ashley couldn’t take the pain any longer and had had enough (at this point she could barely walk) so went back to a&e, insisted on a scan and lo and behold, got the absolutely devastating news that the cancer is infact back.
This time it is aggressive and Ashley has been told there is a very slim chance of being able to cure it again due to it being a reoccurrence cancer.
Ashley is a fighter, but for anyone, news like this is utterly heartbreaking.
Her main focus at the moment is to spend time and make memories with her family.
Ashley is 30 years old, lives with her partner Peter and their 5 children as well as her beloved dogs and so any money raised will help relieve any financial burdens that they should not have to worry about during this upsetting and unfair time. Peter is currently unable to work due to looking after the kids, dogs, house etc as well as being a carer for Ashley who is weaker and less able than her usual self due to currently undergoing chemotherapy; so as you can imagine, money worries have already began.
Ashley is a mother, partner, sister, daughter, friend, teacher and more.
She really does have a heart of gold and would help anyone if she could which is why in her time of need I feel it’s time to step up and help out someone who truly needs it. Her dream as a mum would be to take the kids abroad on a family holiday as they have never been on an aeroplane; this would be an amazing opportunity for memories to be made.
If you have it in your heart to donate anything at all it will be much appreciated and really will help this family in their time of need.
Let’s help Ashley and her family make memories.

Thankyou x

After experiencing more leg pain while away with the family, Ashley ended up in a & e and found out she had a blood clot to the left of her groin which now means she needs to get daily injections to prevent it from getting larger or spreading.
Within the next few weeks Ashley is going to be starting her new treatment because as we all know, the chemotherapy she undertook last time didn’t work.
As always we all wish you all the best Ashley and are hoping the new treatment will give some positive results!

Unfortunately Ashley and her family got the news yesterday that the Chemotherapy she has undergone so far has not worked and that the cancer has now spread to her lymph nodes around her pelvis.
This means Ashley will start a new kind of Chemo once she is up to it (she is still currently in hospital with an infection causing high temperature - she was admitted in last weekend after coming home from a lovely family trip to Blackpool)
Obviously this is far from the news Ashley and her family were hoping for but we all know what a fighter this amazing woman is and she is hopeful that the change in her chemotherapy will make a difference!
We all have everything crossed for you Ashley! ❤️

A beautiful picture of Ashley and her family getting a rare chance to all enjoy some time away together this week while they went to Blackpool!
Ashley loved seeing the kids enjoy themselves at the amusements every night and they also took a trip to Alton towers where their youngest Zara had Ashley in tears with how excited she was meeting iggle piggle and upsy daisy!
A cinema trip, day at the beach and swimming was also among all the things they packed in to doing during their time away and Ashley is so greatful for the quality time they managed to spend together and to watch her kids being so happy ❤️
