Hello Friends Family and associates.
No. I’m not funding a film, or theater project or reality TV show. I’m asking you to get behind the causes of life.
Many know me as Mr. Optimistic, which isn’t far from the truth. Social media has a way of projecting the highlights of a person’s life, but behind the scenes it’s very different story. If you are not in entertainment you may get the impression that life is peachy, because it’s just a picture in time.
A lot of you support me in my career with likes and shares, but I also know a lot of you personally be it as a supporter of a show I was in or we actually speak on the phone etc., so its wasn’t difficult to know who to reach out to.
Those closest to me know my present situation, but for those who do not, here’s my situation and the reason why I’m asking for your help in a nut shell.
I’ve fallen months behind in my rent and other expense and the landlord has reached the point of eviction if I don’t pay what is due. The clock is ticking and we’re talking days!
Typically, I claim unemployment. This allows me to keep up with the basics while I look for more work. In New Jersey, I can only apply annually, however I misjudged my anniversary call in date, thinking it was in June,; it’s actually the end of September. Pickle? Yeah!
That said, it’s been a bit stressful trying to make $1.00 out of $.00. I have gone to all of the usual places people go to in a crisis, but as you would imagine the red tape etc, not to mention in my area there are no funds available. I haven’t been able to really think.
A friend suggested this campaign. Didn’t’ think of it actually, but makes sense because I can ask a lot for a lil help as opposed to asking a few for a lot.
I have set my goal at $5,000 which will bring me up to unpaid rents and help catch up on other expenses I have fallen behind on, as I await my unemployment date.
Any amount you donate will help me keep a roof over head and get caught up would be gratefully appreciated.
Again, I’m looking at days. That’s how pressing this is.
