Help for Harry
Donation protected
Afternoon guys, I HOPE YOU CAN HELP!!
Next Friday I will be having my legs completely waxed for a cause that is close to all our hearts at school. All the details are below! Donating just a small amount can go a long way.
After defeating a brain tumor, a child at our school was left with a left sided hemiplegia, learning difficulties and epilepsy. He now requires a epilepsy bed alarm. This device is so important to our pupil and his family and will alert his parents when a seizure is taking place during the night so that they can give him his emergency medication that is required. If he is not heard having a seizure he is at risk of going into epileptic state, which can result in brain damage or death. Also the benefits of being alerted as soon as the seizure begins allows them to treat him more quickly and efficiently. The longer the seizure the worse the impact it has on him the following day. Not only is this a life saving piece of the equipment but will provide the family with peace of mind and give them a bit of normality that we take for granted. This equipment is between £1000 - £1500 depending on the brand so as a school we have decided to support the family, to try to help raise the funds as well as making awareness for epilepsy throughout the day.
